Our Commitment

Lampadom LLC is committed to making lampadom.com accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. We believe that everyone — regardless of ability, device, or circumstance — should be able to browse our collections, request quotes, and access product information without barriers.

We are actively working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the internationally recognised standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the EU Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882), and the UK Equality Act 2010.

Current Conformance Status

We have conducted an internal accessibility review of our site. Our current status is partially conformant — meaning some content does not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are working through a remediation programme to address all identified issues.

Areas we have reviewed and are actively improving:

  • Product image alternative text descriptions
  • Keyboard navigation across all interactive elements
  • Colour contrast ratios on text and UI components
  • Form label associations on all enquiry and checkout forms
  • Video content captions
  • Focus indicator visibility for keyboard users

Known Limitations

We want to be transparent about what we know is not yet fully resolved:

  • Some product gallery images may have incomplete or generic alternative text. We are auditing and updating all product images progressively.
  • Some video content on the site does not yet have captions. We are adding captions to all video assets.
  • We are in the process of commissioning a full third-party WCAG 2.1 Level AA audit, scheduled for completion by Q4 2026.

We do not use accessibility overlay widgets or automated patch tools as a substitute for genuine code-level remediation.

Technical Specifications

lampadom.com is built on the Shopify platform and uses the following technologies relevant to accessibility:

  • JavaScript
  • ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes where applicable

We aim for compatibility with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers: NVDA with Chrome (Windows), VoiceOver with Safari (macOS and iOS), TalkBack (Android)
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • High contrast display modes

Ongoing Improvement

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review this statement and our site's accessibility whenever we make significant changes to the site, and at minimum annually. Each update to the Shopify theme, new product page template, or third-party app integration is assessed for accessibility impact before deployment.
