Shipping policy
IMPORTANT: ALL LAMPADOM PRODUCTS ARE CUSTOM-MANUFACTURED TO YOUR INDIVIDUAL SPECIFICATION. NO STOCK IS HELD. READ THIS POLICY IN FULL BEFORE ORDERING.
1. Made-to-Order Manufacturing
Every Lampadom product is fabricated exclusively for you upon order confirmation. No pre-stocked inventory exists. Production begins immediately upon receipt of payment.
Fabrication timeline: 9–19 working days (average 9–12 days fabrication + up to 7 days multi-stage quality control). Quality control timelines are not capped — we will not dispatch a product that has not passed QC regardless of timeline pressure.
Because every product is made to your individual specification, your order is exempt from the standard right of withdrawal under Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU (EU Consumer Rights Directive) and equivalent provisions in applicable national law. This exemption applies from the moment production commences. You may cancel without penalty within 24 hours of placing your order by emailing info@lampadom.com — after that window, cancellation is not possible as your product will be in production.
2. Dispatch Hubs & Logistics
Post-QC, your order is dispatched from whichever of our logistics hubs is operationally appropriate — Dubai, China, or other facilities. Hub selection is made by Lampadom at our sole operational discretion based on production location, routing efficiency, and transit safety.
Shipping method (air cargo or express courier) and carrier (DHL, FedEx, Aramex, or equivalent) are selected by Lampadom at our sole discretion based on destination, dimensions, weight, and safety requirements. We do not accept requests to change the selected carrier or method after dispatch.
3. Lead Times — Estimates Only
All lead times are good-faith estimates, not contractual delivery dates or guarantees.
| Scenario | Estimated Timeline |
|---|---|
| Standard production and shipping | 3–6 weeks from order date |
| Extended (customs, inspections, supply) | Up to 60 working days |
| Holiday period (15 Jan – 1 Mar) | Add 2–4 weeks — factory closures are common |
| Global disruption (sanctions, pandemics, trade restrictions, force majeure) | Indefinite — see Section 9 |
We are not liable for losses, costs, or damages arising from delays caused by third-party couriers, customs authorities, force majeure events, or factors outside our manufacturing control. If a delay is caused by a Lampadom manufacturing error, we will notify you and propose a resolution.
Order well in advance of any installation deadline. We strongly recommend a minimum 8-week lead time for time-sensitive projects.
4. Expedited Shipping
Expedited production and shipping is available only where explicitly quoted and confirmed in writing by Lampadom prior to order placement. Expedited availability and pricing are determined at our sole discretion and are non-negotiable post-confirmation.
If approved: estimated 7–12 working days post-QC dispatch. This remains an estimate subject to courier and customs factors. Expedited fees are non-refundable if delays are caused by factors outside Lampadom's manufacturing control.
5. Delivery, Receipt & Inspection
Address accuracy: You are responsible for providing a complete, accurate delivery address at checkout. Address correction requests after dispatch cannot be guaranteed and will incur courier amendment fees at your cost. Delivery failure caused by an inaccurate address is your sole responsibility.
Receipt: Upon delivery, inspect the outer packaging before signing. If external packaging is visibly damaged, note this on the delivery receipt before signing and photograph it immediately.
Signing for delivery confirms receipt of the consignment. It does not waive your right to report concealed damage — see Section 8. However, if no damage notation is made on the delivery receipt and no report is submitted within 48 hours, we will treat delivery as satisfactory.
Tracking: A tracking number is provided upon dispatch as a courtesy. You are responsible for monitoring delivery progress and proactively contacting the courier for transit queries.
Incoterms: Unless explicitly agreed in writing prior to order, all shipments are on DAP (Delivered at Place) / DDU terms. Lampadom is not the importer of record. Import VAT, duties, tariffs, clearance fees, and brokerage costs are the buyer's sole responsibility, payable directly to the carrier or customs authority at destination. Invoices issued by Lampadom exclude destination-country VAT and import duties.
6. Third-Party Couriers & Transit
Once consigned to the carrier, the goods are in the carrier's exclusive custody. Lampadom has no operational control over goods in transit and accepts no liability for carrier delays, carrier losses, carrier damage, or carrier failures.
Lampadom will, as a courtesy, assist with tracking liaison and carrier claim support where reasonably practicable. This assistance does not constitute a legal obligation or an acceptance of liability.
Lost in transit: If the carrier formally confirms total loss of a consignment, Lampadom will, at our sole discretion and subject to verification, offer either a replacement unit (at standard lead time) or a refund of the product value, net of any shipping costs already incurred. No automatic remedy arises until carrier liability is formally confirmed in writing.
7. Customs, Import Duties & Taxes
You are the importer of record for all shipments. You bear full responsibility for:
- All import duties, tariffs, and customs fees levied at the destination country
- All destination-country VAT or equivalent consumption taxes
- All customs clearance costs and brokerage fees
- Compliance with all import regulations, permits, and restrictions applicable to decorative lighting in your jurisdiction
Lampadom does not calculate, pay, pre-collect, contest, or reimburse any import-related charges. We ship DDU/non-IOSS. Customs delays, holds, inspections, or refusals caused by import regulations or documentation requirements do not entitle you to cancellation or refund.
Note on UAE orders: A 5% UAE VAT applies to orders delivered within the UAE, shown at checkout.
8. Damaged or Defective Goods on Arrival
Notification window: You must notify us of any damage or manufacturing defect within 48 hours of receipt by emailing info@lampadom.com with:
- Your order number
- Clear written description of the issue
- High-resolution photographs or video of the damage/defect and outer packaging
- A photograph of the delivery receipt showing any notes made at time of delivery
Claims submitted after 48 hours, or without the required evidence, cannot be processed.
Our liability: If we verify that damage or a manufacturing defect is attributable to Lampadom's production process or our packaging, our liability is limited to repair or replacement of the affected item at our election. We are not liable for consequential losses, installation costs, project delays, or loss of profit.
Transit damage caused after handover to the carrier (see Section 6) is a carrier liability matter. We will assist you in filing a carrier claim but accept no direct financial liability for carrier-caused damage.
9. Force Majeure
Lampadom is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, trade sanctions, export or import restrictions, port closures, carrier failures, industrial disputes, or supply chain disruptions. In such circumstances, delivery timelines will be extended accordingly. If a force majeure event makes delivery permanently impossible, we will offer a refund of the product value.
10. Certificate of Origin & Trade Documentation
We do not issue or facilitate certificates of origin. Customs documentation reflects the country of final dispatch (Dubai or China hub), which is a mandatory requirement of the applicable customs regime. Any import compliance issues, fees, or seizures arising from destination-country import regulations are your responsibility.
11. B2B Trade Orders
For orders placed by registered businesses, interior design studios, architects, or trade account holders acting in a professional commercial capacity (not as consumers), the consumer protection provisions of Section 1 (withdrawal rights) and the limitation of liability provisions of Section 8 apply in their fullest commercial form. Business buyers confirm at checkout that they are purchasing in a professional, non-consumer capacity.
12. Governing Law
This policy forms part of Lampadom's Terms of Service and is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. Nothing in this policy removes or limits any statutory rights that cannot be waived under the mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence.
